Joseph Patrick McCloskey, a 51 year resident of Hatboro, died Saturday, Sept. 12,2015, He was 90. He was the loving husband of Doris (Seeger) McCloskey, with whom he had shared 65 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Farrel) McCloskey. Joe served in the United States Army during WWII. He was injured in the Anzio Beachhead battle. He was a member of the VFW Post 3212, worked at Philco-Ford for 34 years, loved to dance, and a big fan of the Phillies, Flyers and Eagles. He was raised in the Christian Brothers Orphanage, St. Francis, Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA. He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his two sons Joseph P. McCloskey, Jr. (Eileen) and Frank McCloskey (Barbara), his daughter, Diane Breckenridge (John), four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his 3 brothers, Tom, Harry and Jack and his two sisters, Ann and Margaret. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, after 10 am, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 in James R. Baskwill Funeral Home, 20 W Montgomery Ave (half block west of York Rd), Hatboro, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.
