Of Brookline, age 90, passed peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Beloved Husband of the late Mollie (Gramatikos) Xenakis for 65 years; Loving Father of Mike (Ronnie) Xenakis, Markos Xenakis, Tina (Simeon) Koutoufaris, and Ronnie (Dean) Stambolis; Grandfather of Simone, Nicholas, Markos, Alainia (Max), Stephanie, Melanie (Michael), Alexia (Rabih), and Demetri; Great-Grandfather of Cole, Athan, and Lane; Brother of Nickolas (Dora) Xenakis. James was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Icaria, Greece. He returned to the States to work, served in the Army, married, and raised his family here. James had his own produce business for over thirty-five years. He will be remembered as the most loving and generous person, always welcoming his many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel and Katina (Markakis) Xenakis; and his siblings, Gus (Paula) Xenakis, Anthony (Despina) Xenakis, and Despina (John) Korres. Lebanon on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
