Elsie A. (Freimuth) Roth, 94, of New Holland, formerly of Bryn Mawr, died Thursday, April 2, at Garden Spot Village. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Anna (Buchholtz) and Gustav Heinrich Freimuth. She was the beloved wife of the late Wayne L. Roth, who died September 16, 2014. Prior to her marriage she was employed by GE as a comptometer operator. She was a stay-at-home mom, but also worked part-time for Sears and for many years as secretary/bookkeeper in her husband’s small business, The Roth Printing Company. She was a literacy volunteer and a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary. Her Christian faith guided her life and she was an active member of her local Lutheran church. She lived for her family and was generous with her time and her money to help others in need. She is survived by a son, Glenn W., married to Sherry (Steele) Roth of Port Matilda, PA; a daughter, Karen, married to Peter C. Geromini of Franklin, MA; five grandchildren, Ben, married to Prerana Roth, Kate Roth, Katherine, Paul, and Sarah Geromini; a great granddaughter, Jyoti Roth; a sister, Frieda Benninghove; a brother, Paul Freimuth; three nieces, a nephew, and their families. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 10:30 a.m., at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA. Interment will be in the Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer, PA.
